"The philosophy and principles of my work usually touches on a few aspects. Beauty of physical movement, stories that cause audiences to reflect, react or relate, minimalist sounds, and a little bit of humour. The medium I usually use is verbal storytelling, theatre performance, and body markings (paint) to highlight physical movements."

 

Aniq Durar is a Bornean-Malaysian Theatre Practitioner who focuses on contemporary narratives of identity and culture, incorporating storytelling, movements and the occasional humour.

 

He aims to make contributions to theatre, performance art and film, inclusive of Sarawakian-Bornean issues, themes, and stories regarding and for the wider Malaysian community.
